verão

i hope you can hear me way up [and over] there.
i hope you know that for the first time in a long time i am as a lone as the solitary polar bear,
[or the north wood moose]
but you can be assured that they are not spending their time as i ought:
with tea and meatless hotdogs.
&it`s not so much the fact that you are gone,
but that i must remember what it means to be a little more empty,
an ever-trusting soul,
minus indulgent sprees at the gallery & winning the snake`s mouth.

I am convinced that the aloneness is good for the ever-growing heart. It pushes the expanse of our borders. And then there is more with which to greet one another. I am glad you used a nice summery portuguese word, too.
